         Theme: “Your money”

Aims: 1. To practice the use of determines: another/other, the other/the second.

2.Developing listening abilities.

3.Practical work. Play game “Happy chance” (СчастливыйСлучай)

Materials for the lesson: Teacher’s book, Student’s book, cards, and cassette.

Procedure of the lesson:

Plan:

  1. Organization moment. Greetings.
  2. Check up home.
  3. Let’s play the game" Happy Chance".

You will divide into two groups and choose the captain of the team.

1. Game. "Warming Up" "Разминка"

The task is to finish sentences beginning with the words are given on your cards using both of us/ neither с us/all of us/none of us.

The 1-st group.  1 .Both of us ...(are friends)

  1. Neither of us...(learn German)
  2. AU of us...(buy clothes at the market)
  3. None of us...(knows a millionaire)
  4. Most of us... (wear jeans)

The 2 nd group. l.None of us... (Like jogging)

 

  1. All of us...(are careful with the money)
  2. Most of us .. .(wear uniform at school)
  3. Both of us...(often go to parties)
  4. Neither of us...(goes on holidays with our parents)

 

  1. Game. The Dark Horse"              "ТемнаяЛошадка"

The task is to listen to the cassette the dialogue ex.9 and fill in the gaps then check it. Answers:

Group 1.  1 .jacket 2.colour 3.green

 Group 2. 4.small 5.big

The task is to do ex. 11 and fill in the gaps with another, the other, other, the second

First work individually then check each other.

The task is to match the questions with the best responses. Do ex.12 Group 1. -Questions. 1 .Do you have two sisters'?

The task is to retell the text.

Text.

The same shop chains are found in most High Streets of British towns and cities.

There are a range of clothes shops, catering for different age groups and price ranges. These include Marks and Spencer, British Home Stores and for younger customers New Look, Next, Miss Selfridges.

Now let me know which words are used withquestions and negatives (any) and which with positive statements (some).

  1. Developing reading, thinking and speaking abilities.
  1. Read the title of the text and discuss in groups would you like to be a millionaire and give the reasons
  2. Say about the advantages and disadvantages of being millionaire. E.g. elicit that you become a millionaire (born into a rich family, successful business, win the lottery, marry a rich person, invent something that everybody wants).
  3. Please tell me, do you know about any millionaires or people who have suddenly become rich.
  4. Work with the text.

The text is divided into two parts. The first part read the second group, the second part – the first group. Your task – to read the next, try to understand and then reproduce it to the other group after that one of the group will reproduce the whole text. Do it in 5 minutes.
