The Theme: The Past Simple. My Favourite Hero.
Text. Tom and Huck.
The aims of the lesson:                
Educational:
- to master the new grammar material,
Развивающая:
– развивать навыки диалогический и монологической речи.
Воспитательная:
- Развивать эстетический вкус, воспитывать потребности расширить свой кругозор, повышать интерес к изучению иностранного языка.
Тип  урока: Урок  - обобщение, систематизаций знаний, умений и навыков.
Применяемые технологии: применение новых инновационных технологии, технология  «создания» новых знаний на уроке, технология систематизации знаний в процессе обучения.
Межпредметная связь: казахский, русский языки, американская литература, психология.
Оборудование: интерактивная доска, слайды, видеофильм, аудиозаписи, компьютеры.
Формы работы: групповая, фронтальная, индивидуальная, работа в паре,творческая работа,самостоятельная работа с решением проблемных ситуации.

Homework was given: to organize mini  Press Conference on meeting the world famous people with the journalist from the different parts of  the world.
Journalist : We are interested in all your life.
The list of the journalist ‘s questions .
1. When  and where were you born?
2. Have you got a  family?
3.  Do  you have friends?
4. Where  did you study?
5. Do you have children and what are their  names?
6 Where  do you usually go in your free time?
7. What kind of sport do you go in  for?
8. What do you have for supper.
9. What books do you like to read?
10.What is you  f avourite  song Can you sing now?
11. Do you like to travel?
12. How do you like Astana?

Exercise №3 Make the following sentences negative or interrogative:

The Game: The group must be divided into two subgroups:
The First group names the words or phrases in Past Simple.
The Second group names the sentences with the given words or phrases.

Tom  and  Huck
(After “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer ”, by  M. Twain)

Tom behaved so badly the whole week that Aunt Polly decided to punish him. ON Saturday, when all the boys were free and could play and fun about in the street, Tom had to whitewash the fence. He be gan his work almost in tears but soon he thought of  a plan. He pre tended that it was a great pleasure to whitewash  the fence, and the boys asked him to let them work in stead of  him for a while. So the boys not only did all the work, but also to give him many of their treasures. He received many marbles a new paper kite, a dead rat with a string, a piece of  blue glass, an old key, a piece of chalk, a piece of thick rope, and many other things. Besides, the whole fence was white and smooth.

Tom put away his treasures and went into the house to speak to Aunt Polly.
“May I go and play , now Aunt ?”  he said.
“What! So soon? How much did you do?”
“All of it , Aunt “,
