The theme: Xenorilum
The aim:
Educational: to revise Past Simple tense, regular and irregular verbs, to teach making interrogative sentences, to teach students to work creatively and introduce new words.
Developing: to develop their thinking abilities and speaking in English.
Up bringing: to bring them up to our country, to be able to protect it.

Procedure of the lesson.
Organization moment:
Good morning, pupils.
Good morning.
How are you?
We are fine thanks, and you?
What season is it now?
It is spring.
What is the weather like today?
It’s warm and sunny.
What day is it today?
It is Wednesday.
What date is it today?
Today is the 12th of April.
What happened on this day in 1961.

Loto. The rule of the game is very simple and resemble the usual lotto. But only instead of numbers on the playing field are written words in Kazakh and English. Pupils should find the playing cards with the translation and close the word with them. The aim of the game is to revise new words from previous lesson.  
Checking up the home-task.
Work book. Ex: 1 on page 50 (to read and to translate).
Answer the questions:
Where is the Khoja Akhmed Yasawi Mausoleum?
Who built it?
How old is it?
How wide is the dome?
Why did they use blue tiles?
Why didn’t they finish it?
Brainstorming.
Look at the picture. What is it?

What is a rocket?

Look at the pictures. How do you think, where are the children and Mr.Wilson? What kind of strange things do you see? 
Now look at the text and listen to the story. And try to understand it.
‘This is terrible!’ said Greg. They were in a very strange place. There were pink mountains, green cows and strange birds. ‘This is wonderful!’ said Zenna. ‘This is Planet Donos! I’m home! Thank you, Mr. Wilson!’ Zenna pushed a button on a small telephone. ‘Zenna, is that you?’ said a voice.
Soon a friend of Zenna’s came to collect them. They saw incredible things on Zenna’s planet. Flying cars, robots and many strange things. ‘Green cows! This planet is amazing,’ said David. ‘no, it isn’t,’ said Greg. ‘I hate it! I want to go home.’
‘Zenna,’ said Mr. Wilson, ‘is there Xenorilum on this planet?’ ‘Lots!’ said Zenna. ‘Why?’ ‘Well,’said Mr. Wilson with a smile on his face, ‘if you put Xenorilum in the Time Travel Clock, it works better!’ ‘Uncle!’ said Fiona. ‘Do you mean we can go home?’ ‘I think so, Fiona,’ said Mr. Wilson. ‘Let’s go to a laboratory.’
‘Does it work now, Uncle?’ asked Fiona. ‘I don’t know,’ said Mr. Wilson. ‘Let’s find out! Zenna, thank you for your help. ‘No, thank you,’ said Zenna. ‘I’m home now.’ Mr Wilson smiled. ‘Come on, children, let’s go! Goodbye!’ he said and hit the clock. ‘Come back soon!’ shouted Zenna.
Now  close your books and listen to the story again.
Answer the questions:
Why does Mr.Wilson want Xenorilum?
How do you think, can Mr.Wilson and children get home now?

Ex 2 p.53 Read the story again. Match the questions and the answers.

Scramble the story. Ex 2 p. 52 Activity book
Pupils should unscramble the sentences and put them into the correct order.
They went to a laboratory.                                                 
Zenna called a friend.
Mr. Wilson asked about Xenorilum.
Mr. Wilson said goodbye to Zenna.
They saw pink mountains.
Mr. Wilson and the children disappeared.
A friend of Zenna’s came to collect them.
Mr. Wilson put Xenorilum in his Time Travel Clock.

Play the game
Ex 3 p.53 Play the game. “Can you find the way to the Xenorilum?”
How to play
Use a counter and dice to move on the board.
If you land on ‘answer the question ’, answer the questions from the text.
If you land on ‘translate the word’, say translation of the word. 
If you land on ‘picture question’,  describe action in the Past Simple form.
If you land on ‘Make V2’,  put the verb in V2 form.
If you land on ‘Go back 2 steps’, you must come back 2 steps and do the task. 
We must quickly get the Xenorilum.

Sing a song
Ex 4 p. 53 Sing a song. ‘It’s time to go home.’
Chorus

We travelled almost everywhere,

We saw strange things, we saw scary things,
