“Zhas Galym” Organization at Almaty Technological University

At Almaty Technological University (ATU), several student organizations aim to enhance students’ interest in scientific research and innovation. One of the most prominent among them is “Zhas Galym” (Young Scientist).

Purpose and Activities of the Organization

“Zhas Galym” is dedicated to developing students’ scientific potential, engaging them in various research projects, conferences, competitions, and startup programs. The organization collaborates closely with scientific and innovation centers within ATU, helping talented students immerse themselves in research.

Key Directions of the Organization:

1. Conducting Scientific Research – Students work under the guidance of leading professors and lecturers on various scientific topics.

2. Organizing Conferences and Seminars – The organization hosts scientific-practical conferences, round tables, and workshops to promote students’ academic achievements.

3. Participating in Grant and Startup Projects – Members have the opportunity to apply for government and international research grants, as well as participate in various innovation competitions.

4. Collaboration with Industry and Business – Students implement their research projects in cooperation with enterprises, applying theoretical knowledge in practice.

Members and Achievements

Since its inception, “Zhas Galym” has brought together many active students, encouraging them to engage in science. The organization includes talented individuals who have made significant contributions to their respective fields.

• Aizhan Abdikalykova – An outstanding student in food technology, a multiple-time winner of national scientific competitions. She gained recognition for her project on eco-friendly food packaging.

• Yerasyl Muratuly – Conducts research in engineering and nanotechnology, representing ATU at international conferences. His studies on intelligent artificial materials have received high acclaim.

• Dinara Seitova – Active in business and innovation, she works on startup projects for young entrepreneurs. She established an entrepreneurship club within the university to support student startups.

• Askar Nurbekov – A former president of “Zhas Galym,” under whose leadership the organization successfully implemented numerous scientific projects and studies.
