Lesson aim:

The objectives: Pupils will be able to :

1. educational: to understand, to talk about historical places

2. developing: to explain and using  Future Simple, be going to

To enrich vocabulary:

1. Up–bringing: to use new words in their speech

Cross curricular links: history

Intercultural  awareness: Learners will be able to understand that every person, country has their own values.

Procedure of the lesson:

1. Organization moment; a) greeting; b) talking with the pupil on duty.

2. Checking up the home task. (working with vocabulary)

3. Phonetic drill

We can stop polluting

Clean the water, land and air

We can all recycle

We can take a little care

4. Presentation of the grammar: Future Simple “will”; “be going to”

Ex 2 p 44; Ex 7 p 45(at the board)

 

  • Affirmative           I/you/he/she/it/we/you/they- will/’ll go out.
  • Negative             I/you/he/she/it/we/you/they-will not/won’t go out.
  • Interrogative         Will I/you/he/she/it/we/you they go out?
  • Short answers  Yes, I/we/you   they will.   No,I/we/they won’t
  • Time makers:   tomorrow, next week, month,year,soon,etc.
  • We use be going to for:
  • Future predictions based on what we see.
  • Watch out ! You are going to fall.
  • Future plans and intentions.
  • Now I’ve got the money, I’m going to buy a new computer
  • We use present Continuous for fixed arrangements. John’s leaving tomorrow. He got his ticket.
  • They are getting married next month. (they have made arrangements).

5. Listening the texts. Answer to the questions

6. Reading the text. (Answer to the questions)

a) How old is Stonehenge?

b) Why did they build Stonehenge?

c) What problems does Stonehenge face?

d) What problems do the temples face?

e) Are the temples of Angcor Wat a popular holiday destination?

f) Who is working to preserve the temples?

7. Sing a song
